Mr Pollock, on behalf of the Government, appeared in front of the Trustees of the Assembly’s College to discuss rental terms for the Assembly’s College.

“He, having withdrawn, the Trustees talked the matter over and eventually agreed to accept £8,000 per annum for three years subject to a provision that if tenancy extends to four years the Rent for additional year be £10,000.
Mr Pollock returned and the above terms were intimated to him and he arranged to Telegraph them to London and let the Trustees know result as soon as possible. The question of Police protection for buildings was brought up and Mr Pollock agreed to have this put in hand at once.
A letter from Office of Works dated the 21st July was read and the Secretary instructed to acknowledge receipt and say that terms had now been communicated to Mr Pollock.”
