James Craig, Northern Ireland’s first Prime Minister formally requests a meeting with the Secretary to the Trustees of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland to discuss the possibility of the new Northern Parliament utilising Assembly’s College as the temporary home of the Parliament.
The invitation was to meet at Cabin Hill, Craig’s residence, and where many meetings, including a number of Cabinet Meetings, took place around this time.
“Cabin Hill,

Dear Mr Hamilton,
In continuation of my letter of the 12th of May, I am now in an official position to be able to meet your Trustees regarding the possibility of using the Assembly’s College for our Parliament until our Parliament Buildings are complete.
I should very much like to meet your Trustees and yourself to discuss the matter with you. Would it be convenient for you to come here on Thursday next about 11:30 am so that we can go further into the matter?
Yours sincerely,
James Craig
Rev. T.S. Hamilton, M.A., D.D.,
Secretary to the Trustees,
