.455 Calibre Wesley Revolver
This weapon was discovered in a house in County Clare and dates from the period of the War of Independence 191 -1921.
Mosin Nagant Rifle from the wreck of The Aud
This is a Russian weapon which originated in 1891 with a long rifle which remained in service until WWII
This example is a weapon recovered after 80 years on the seabed from the “The Aud” which was a ship carrying Arms in anticipation of the 1916 Rising, which was captured, off the Coast of Cork, and scuttled by her Captain. The use of this type of weapon would have been prevalent during both War of Independence and the following Irish Civil War
